Education for Different Learning Stages

The teaching and learning programme at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy supports teachers, students and their families to operate comfortably within a cultural diverse environment, building a unique preparation for engagement within the global community. Kaiwen aims to ground students in the essence of Chinese national culture, while drawing on diverse world cultures to build intercultural understanding and deepen learning. A Warm and Supportive Boarding Culture

Kaiwen Academy recognizes the extraordinary benefits which young people can gain from engagement in a boarding programme. Boarding school life at Kaiwen Academy allows our pupils to benefit from an evening academic support programme, led by academic faculty members, to make the fullest use of our outstanding extracurricular sporting and artistic facilities, and to cultivate students' independent thinking and sense of community.

In providing students with full days, Monday through Friday, of classroom and life skills education, Kaiwen serves as another home of students.

  • A Broad Team of Adult Support including Housemasters, Housemistresses, Evening Tutors and Housekeepers, ensuring that boarders are cared for 24 hours a day.
  • A Rich Extracurricular Programme, allowing boarders to combine education with recreation and build skills in diverse areas.
  • A Warm Boarding School Atmosphere, in which boarders build life long friendships and through which school becomes an enthusing and engaging lifestyle.
